We designed and developed a modern, easy-to-use website for Danes in Distress, helping the rescue organization manage adoptions, intake, and volunteer inquiries through secure, complex online forms. The site is fully responsive, clear, and built to support their mission of helping Great Danes find loving homes.

    In March of this year, our Great Dane rescue organization, Danes in Distress, decided to replace our existing data-driven site with a responsive version to accommodate the demands of our client base using smart phones to access the Internet.
    Our technical requirements included an extensive knowledge of WordPress and SQL database programming to effectively handle many unique features incorporated in our web based marketing.
    After researching various web developers and many discussions with the various bidders, we opted to contract Design Tactics Inc. for the new site based on their extensive knowledge of both the WordPress platform and SQL databases. Their solid reputation for delivering an excellent product on time at a fair price was an added bonus.
    After detailed discussions on the layout we preferred and the pages to be displayed, we turned the project over to them with a six week deadline.
    Throughout the development stages, we were totally impressed with the way that Martin and Sarah took ownership of the project and their initiative shown. When developing prior web sites, I had spent countless hours trying to impart various nuances associated with the rescue world – and not always successfully, to developers! Martin and Sarah intuitively grasped the tone we were trying to convey and our passion for the charges we get into our care.
    The site was ready two weeks before the deadline discussed and we were delighted to start working with many of the innovative features they had incorporated, providing more options than were previously available.
    The switch-over to the new site was seamless and handled entirely by the Design Tactics Inc. team. We were up-and-running again within 24 hours.
    We thank Martin and Sarah for the work done and look forward to many years of working with Design Tactics Inc. to effectively increase our web exposure as technology advances.
